Vandemere's premiere waterfront park is situated on eight (8) beautiful acres complete with dual boat ramps, a kayak launch, concrete docks, boat slips, gazebos, grills, and public restrooms. This park came to fruition through the efforts of the NC Wildlife Resource Commission for the boating access, and the town of Vandemere for the docks and park amenities.

Much of Vandemere's water depths are conducive to almost any size recreational craft and our fishing is superb. This is the perfect venue for a family day outing!
Fishing and Boating
Coastal North Carolina is known for its excellent fishing and boating. Red Drum, Flounder, Sea Trout, Croaker are just a few of the many fish that are popular to catch in these waters; either by land or on a boat. Blue crab, shrimp, and oysters are also very popular catches in Vandemere.

In our vicinity you will see all size boats and vessels; from kayaks to industrial trawlers. Vandemere is situated about 3 miles from the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, and is one of the shorter distances to Ocracoke if traveling by boat.
Whether you are just enjoying the water or going for the catch of the day, kayaks and canoes are a great way to enjoy the rivers.
