Teamwork drives Vandemere’s success, with Commissioners, Planning Board members, and community volunteers working together to advance projects that benefit the whole town. Because we are a small municipality, officials often serve dual roles to meet local needs and state requirements. Guided by resident feedback, the Planning Board developed—and the Board of Commissioners approved—strategic plan for 2024-2029. This plan serves as a clear, community-driven roadmap for improving quality of life while preserving Vandemere’s small-town charm; and ensures the governing team continues to work for the people.
